Description
Through his preaching and writings, St. Josemaría Escrivá proclaimed the universal call to sanctification and apostolate, and offered Christians a path of sanctification in the midst of the world and through professional work and the circumstances of ordinary life. His teaching is nourished by Sacred Scripture, the Tradition of the Church, the light he received from God on October 2, 1928 – the founding date of Opus Dei – and his extensive priestly experience. This Dictionary approaches the figure and the preaching of the founder of Opus Dei from a double perspective: a biographical-historical and a theological-spiritual one, with the aim of facilitating the knowledge of his personality and his message. It contains 288 alphabetically ordered entries, in which 226 authors from 32 countries have collaborated. Two extensive indexes, one analytical and the other systematic, complete the work.
