By Andrés Vázquez de Prada
The third and final volume of Andrés Vázquez de Prada’s biography of St Josemaría Escrivá, covering his years in Rome from 1946 until his death there in 1975. It traces how Opus Dei grew from a handful of members in Spain into a worldwide institution with more than 60,000 members of 80 nationalities. The author, a Spanish diplomat, writer and historian who knew the founder personally, draws on unpublished letters, diaries and other sources from the Prelature’s archives.
